چکیده

In this study we designed an RF plasma circuit. By using argon as plasma-forming gas, we investigated argon cold plasma plume at atmospheric pressure. Due to the tendency of transferring into arc mode after gas breakdown, resulting from the avalanche of electrons, we employed a glass tube as a dielectric barrier layer to inhibit the occurrence of the arc mode. We used an RF power supply at frequency 13.56 MHZ, working with 300W output-input impedance. In order to recognize plasma, optical emission spectroscopy (OES) apparatus was used. Oxygen, argon, copper and nitrogen spectrum lines were diagnosed. Since the study of discharge modes is important to the specific requirement of their intended applications, we investigated the plasma ignition mode. To do this, the discharge images were taken by a digital camera and colour codes of the images were changed to the relative intensity distribution.

Remote plasma-enhanced chemical vapour deposition of silicon nitride at atmospheric pressure

Silicon nitride films were deposited using an atmospheric pressure plasma source. The discharge was produced by flowing nitrogen and helium through two perforated metal electrodes that were driven by 13.56 MHz radio frequency power. Deposition occurred by mixing the plasma effluent with silane and directing the flow onto a rotating silicon wafer heated to between 100 ̊C and 500 ̊C. Film growth ra...

COMPARISON OF FILTRATION PERFORMANCE BETWEEN NEAT AND PLASMA-TREATED PAN / MGO NANOFIBERS IN THE REMOVAL OF 10 TO 1000 NM PARTICLES

Introduction: The present study aimed to compare the filtration performance between neat hybrid electrospun nanofibers consisting of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) polymer and magnesium oxide (MgO) nanoparticles and plasma treated ones in removing fine particles from the air stream. Methodology: The upper surface of the nanofibers were processed by cold-plasma with a radio frequency power supply (13....

Atomic oxygen and hydroxyl density measurements in an atmospheric pressure RF-plasma with water admixtures using UV and synchrotron VUV absorption spectroscopy

Absolute O and OH ground state densities were measured in a He rf-plasma (13.56 MHz driving frequency) with water admixtures. For this, high resolution synchrotron VUV and broadband UV absorption spectroscopy was used. Detected absolute O and OH densities were in the order of 10 and 10 m, respectively. The densities of both species were found to increase towards higher water admixtures.

Plasma Characteristics Using Superimposed Dual Frequency Inductively Coupled Plasma Source for Next Generation Device Processing.

U-shaped inductively coupled plasma (ICP) source was investigated as a linear plasma source for the next generation roll-to-toll flexible display processing. For the radio frequency power to the source, the dual frequency composed of 13.56 MHz and 2 MHz was used and the effect of dual frequency to the U-shaped ICP source on the plasma density, electron temperature, and plasma uniformity was inv...

Absolute OH density determination by laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy in an atmospheric pressure RF plasma jet

In this paper, the ground state OH density is measured in high pressure plasma by laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) spectroscopy. The OH density determination is based on the simulation of the intensity fraction of fluorescence from the laser-excited level of OH (A) in the total detected LIF signal. The validity of this approach is verified in an atmospheric pressure Ar + H2O plasma jet sustaine...
